Titus as to complete my 12 caesars
« on: September 29, 2017, 01:24:19 pm »
Hi,

A coin that pleases me, not for its rarity or condition but for what it represents. I've been looking for a coin to complete my "12 caesars" collection and I have finally found a Titus that I am happy with:

Titus 79-81 AD
AE as
Obv "IMP T CAES VESP AVG PM TRP COS VIII"
Laureate bust right
Rev "AEQVITAS AVGVST"
Aequitas standing left holding scales and vertical sceptre
Rome mint
RIC 214

The full "12 caesars" can be viewed as part of my portrait gallery on my blog at:

Regards,

Mauseus

Congrats.  I very much like the unconventional coins you included in you 12 Caesars set/Portrait Gallery as well.   ;D

Hi,

Thank-you; I like to choose unusual coins like the Gallienus denarius. Others, like the Otho, I could never afford a denarius in that condition and the provincial Julius Caesar portrait I bought unidentified in my early teens!

Regards,

Mauseus
