hi
I want to share with you one of my last aquisition.
Lydia Tyathira pseudo autonomous coinage 193-215 (
Severan time)
O/
IEPA - CYN - KΛHT - ON· (Holy Senate) Draped young
bust of the personification of Senate right;
countermark of a
face on neck.
R/ ΘYATЄI - PHNΩN (of
Thyatira).
Tyche Soterios standing left holding rudder and
cornucopiae.
I checked on internet but i was not able to find the exact example.
The
obverse is common in this coniage but the match with this
reverse is hard to discover.
Interesting the
countermark on the neck. Could be possible that is impressed the
face of a memeber of the
Severan familily?
If you have any suggests i will be glad to receive theme.
i just got into the
provincial coniage and i really appreciate them. Every single coins has a story different from any others.
