Bronze coin from Iberia
« on: July 25, 2017, 09:40:04 pm »
Had this coin on my desk for a while.  Looks like it may be from Iberia, but cannot find anything similar.

About 20mm and 4 grams.

Thanks

Marsha

Hi Marsha,

I haven't been in Forum for a few days because I've been busy catching up on things, but I recognized the type immediately.

Here is my Irippo coin (scroll down, fourth coin):

Thanks for sharing.  Love the abstract head of the obverse.

Marsha,

That is a very nice Irippo you have.

Here are my two. One sort of typically poor with a green patina, the other, a better strike and brown patina.

It's hard to find one that doesn't have some detail missing.
