Chinese Knife Money
« on: July 12, 2017, 10:50:35 am »

15.000g, 136.5mm long

I received this years ago with a large collection. The collection was mostly Roman coins, but did include other types, and did include some fakes. I have never handled Chinese knife money. I have no idea if this is authentic or even how to authenticate it. All the Chinese coins sold by Forum to date have been either supplied by or authenticated by Chinese coin specialists. Any opinions or advice from Chinese coin collectors?

I would ask Stephen Album or Frank Robinson.  Also Scott Semans might be able to help.

Ming Knife, 400 - 220 BC
Obverse:  "Ming"
Reverse:  "Nei Wu"

Hartill4.43, 6l

Looks genuine from the photo.
