I love how the
obverse legend begins all bold and grandiose, only for
the die cutter to realise about half way along, and all too late, that he
needs to add a LOT more to the
legend, and it shrinks and tapers down,
squeezing the remaining letters into the whatever space was left.
I wonder at what point that moment of realisation hit him! My guess is
probably somewhere around the 'T' of 'M AN
T...'. Oops!
