Question concerning Iron Spur
« on: May 19, 2017, 05:59:21 pm »
Ave!

Iron; 60mm/19.2gm

Just guessing that it's Medieval but what was it attached to? The three studs are c. 9mm each.

Stumped.  ???

Best,

Kevin

Early modern.  It was made to attach to a leather boot.

Similar items are dated roughly ECW (English civil war) through Napoleonic era or later if I recall correctly.  Call it 17-19th century.
