Mithradates I tetradrachem, genuine?!

Hello all,

What are your thoughts on the authenticity of this Mithradates I coin?! The erosion looks a bit unusual and relatively even, doesn't it?! (sold in an auction by Classical Numismatic Group, London, with a note: From NISA collection).

It's fine, imo, and with meaningful provenance - although, as described in the lot's description, the hair and beard have been tooled and fields smoothed.

It looks as if the coin had a severe case of horn silver at one time which was then removed before the it had a face lift.
