These Alexandrian coins must have come from a very successful issue because they are frequently found heavily worn, indicating a long period in circulation or a high frequency of exchange. The Alexandrian
style has always appealed to me, I know some consider it a little crude compared to other mints, but I think these critics miss the point. Alexandrian coin design typically has great clarity and bold simplicity, both of which are beautifully shown on your coins.
