I don't have RIC in front of me , maybe someone can clarify.

Dane's pages show RIC 92 and RIC 114 the same except for their weight, the lighter version being RIC 114 (under 1.7 grams). I'm curious if RIC has a note about the different weights.

RIC 114 here: http://www.coinproject.com/coin_detail.php?coin=54572

I think it should be classified as 114 though. Presumably, these lighter coins were struck from 335-337AD.

Apparently the RIC 92 issues were struck from 330-335 and weighed up to a full gram more in some instances.

Unfortunately my RIC volume is still packed away in storage from a recent move

RIC VII does have a note for #91 (page 693) that says, "Weight, and particularly, flan size are the only means of distinguishing these coins from those struck in the course of the Gloria (1 standard) type."

If you have other coins with which to compare, it makes identifying these late (335-37) coins easier.  In the picture below you can easily see the difference. I might add that any coin of the 330-35 (2 standards) issue can be used in the comparison.

Below, top row:
Left: RIC 91, 2.14 gm, 18 mm.  Right: RIC 108, 2.35 gm, 19 mm.

Below bottom row:
Left: RIC 113, 1.68 gm, 14.5 mm.  Right: RIC 114, 1.49 gm, 15 mm.

I might add that the sizes of the coins in the picture below have been adjusted so that the proportions are correct.

Yours is 15mm diameter and the die was slightly larger, say 15.5 mm.  That is clearly in the range of the later smaller series which had dies 15-16mm vs the larger series which had dies 17-18mm.  The weight of yours also matches the later issue, though die diameter is a much better indicator than weight for individual coins.

The large series is dated 330 - 336 and the later 336 - 341.
