Interesting AE20 with 2 heads needs ID Claudius Done!
« on: February 14, 2017, 04:49:56 pm »
Hello all.

Well i won this little gem on our free auction.

As Johnny S stated in the auction it may be Germanicus, but i cant find any coins by him similar to mine.

Hope some may put some light on it. I am sorry my picture can show the lovely dark green colour.  :-[

Coin Info:
Bronze: AE20
Adverse: Mans head and what seems to be GER but i cant make out the 2 last letters.
Reverse: Mans head
Weight: 6.48 grams
Seize: 20mm

I will put 2 different photos of the Adverse, because the light chance may help.

Thank you for your time and help!  +++

Kind regards Kim.

Your coin is a Claudius from Kassandreia in Macedon, like here:

Holy Cow he does have horns! And ofc. Claudius also has Germ in his name.  :o

Well I would never have thought it to be Claudius.

Thank you very, very much Lars.  +++

Cheers Kim
