bought for the nice bust but not sure who?
« on: January 15, 2017, 03:23:26 am »
Just bought this coin for the nice bust, reverse cant really make out but its a AS, Dupondiusor Sestertius of early emperor. The legend is small and hard to make out but from bust alone I would think Claudius or Augustus and possible but less likely Caligula early Nero or Domitian. What do you fellas think, appreciate any feedback. Good Day....Stephen

sorry Jay sadly it wasnt listed and seller didnt know anything about it and didnt have scales so photo evidence is all I can go on at the moment. I was just hoping the bust alone or possibly a eagle eye with legend could help me to determine the emperor.

Tiberius is another possibility.

If I had to guess I would say Domitian dupondius from the 80s.
