Hello to all is this an imitation of Persian coin from Samaria or an illusion? it is 9.1mm and 1.73grams and 3mm thickness. The reverse reminds a king slaying a lion!!!??

I can see why you think it could be Samarian. For a 1/16 shekel it should way around 0.7g, your coin is too heavy.

Here are a few of my coins depicting Persian King slaying Lion.

Hi Martin, I previously compared it to your coins but no luck, also it is not silver and very heavy and thick for the issue, I think it is Samarian because it was found there, but the reverse resembles strongly the silver issues.

I have two mutually exclusive suggestions for the obverse:
1. Tyche
2. Septimius Severus. ;)

Hi, Snegovic, Tyche is a very strong possibility but i am not sure about Septimius Severus.
