2 Barbarous FEL TEMP REPARATIO Type
« on: October 30, 2016, 12:31:29 pm »
These are 2 late Roman bronze coins from the FEL TEMP REPARATIO type, but they both look different. I am relatively new to barbarous imitations, so is there any significant difference in who made them? Is one Celtic and the other Germanic? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Barbarous imitations of this period were made within the Roman Empire, usually in Britain or northern Europe. Particular styles are found within localised areas indicating a specific point of manufacture. It would be difficult to pin down one specific coin to one of these areas.
