Armenian crusader coin unknown?
« on: September 25, 2016, 02:20:19 pm »
Hello folks,
I've just purchased this coin from a lot of few ancient coins & i'd like to someone to identify this coin.
The only thing i know about it is that it's an Armenian crusader state coin.
So if anyone out there has an idea about what century and year it was struck i'd be very thankfull for your time!!
Take care & have a nice day!!
Bruno.

Hi folks,

It looks like a figure riding a horse on one side, and a cross on the other side.

Thanks Pekka,

So what i see on the link you sent me, it's from Raymond II of Tripoli 1137-1152 A.D.

Might be an AE Pogh of Oshin or Levon IV, but its double struck and poorly preserved.
Cant make anything out.
