Researchers from North Carolina State University and East Carolina University have discovered two marble statues of the  Aphrodite --

Nice.  Glad to see the actual city of Petra is getting the attention it deserves.  The tombs are awesome but the actual city is often neglected.

Awesome, thanks Steve for sharing, very beautiful but shame it is broken, it is always very interesting to see how eastern civilizations adopted western religions and beliefs along side with their own.
