Coin of (all in Genitivus!):
AYTOK[KPATWP] = IMPERATOR
K[AICAP] = CAESAR
MAPKOC = MARCUS
IOVL[IOC] = IVLIVS
ΦILIΠΠOC = PHILIPPVS
CEB[ACTOC] = AVGVSTVS

DHMAPX[IKH] = TRIBVNICIA
EXOYCIAC = POTESTATE

Best regards

Just a minor note but should not all the obverse inscription be expanded into the genitive case form?:

AUTOKRATOROC
KAICAROC
MARKOV
IOVLIOV
FILIPPOV
CEBACTOV

i am not sure of the case on the reverse inscription.

You left out the best part.  Under the eagle on the reverse is MON VRB indicating the coin was struck in Rome and shipped to Antioch for use.  More commonly we see similar, locally produced, coins with the city name Antioch in this position.

Jochen:

I can not figure out what you are insisting on.

On coin: FILIPPOV (GENITIVE CASE) so likely all words are  to be in genitive case

Your other expansions are NOMINATIVE case.

translations are all correct.

Iwaniw,

Although Jochen wrote the words in their nominative form, he stated to start with that they were all in the genitive case. So he entirely agrees with your point.

The reverse legend is also in the genitive case, but not because it is in agreement with the obv. legend. Here the genitive means "holder of" the tribunician power.

Curtis;

Thanks for the information on the reverse legend. I believe the Alexandrian Aelius coins reverse inscriptions are also in the genitive case.

I realized after I sent my last email that Jochen highlighted the wrong quoted information (his not mine)

I believe the Alexandrian Aelius coins reverse inscriptions are also in the genitive case.

There the words are too abbreviated, just ΔHM EΞOVC, to show their case!

The continuation, VΠAT B, must be read as nominative, to agree with Λ AIΛIOC KAICAP on the obverse.

Curtis:

Giessen expands the words as ΔHM(APXIKHC)  EΞOVC(IAC)    (I suspect the genitive case?) and  VΠAT(OC)  B, (which looks like the nominative case?).

I agree with you that the first two titles are too short to show their case.

Yes, genitive and nominative respectively, as you suggest.
