Greek? Roman? Coin? Medallion?

Hello,
This one turned up in the sift and has me completely stumped. I have not been able to find anything like it.
I cannot tell if this is Greek or Roman. A coin or a medallion. Genuinely ancient or a modern tourist piece.

It is Bronze, about 38.6mm Maximum Diameter
Weighs about 58 grams
And has letters on the obverse that look like KOV_

Any help would be appreciated.
