Unknown filbula from Servia, Sirmium
« on: February 20, 2016, 09:54:47 am »
This one was found with a metaldetector in Servie, Sirmium. it appears quite different from other fibula's I have in my possession. Any suggestions to it's age, type, will be more than welcome!

At the firs, look like a gepidic (germanic) at the late 4th and the 5th centuries   ???

Hard to say.  Quadrans could well be right that it is Gepidic.  The diamond-shaped foot with round knobs looks especially Gepidic.
