Amphipolis AE -6.16gr and 19mm
« on: February 07, 2016, 07:38:28 am »
Hello!

I searched this piece in all cities which end in "ΛITΩN", but i could not find an exact match. I think that it could be Amphipolis, because there i found the one with similar style (Moushmov 5973).
Could you please let me know what is your opinion about this?

Thank you,
alc

May be AMNG III/2, p. 35, 39:

obv. Head of Poseidon with taenia r.
rev. above AMFIPO, in ex. LITWN
Horse walking r. on base line, l. forefoot raised, l. hindfoot set forward (pacing); below horse theta, in r. field monogram

Best regards
