Thessalonica in Macedonia, Roman republican rule, 187-31 BC.,
Æ 18 / Tetrachalkon(?) (ca. 18 mm / ca. 5 g), bronze,
Obv.: diademed head of Artemis facing right.
Rev.: ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟ / ΝΙΚEΩΝ , strung bow behind quiver, flanking monograms (most off flan).
BMC 5. 24 ; AMNG III, p. 119, 11 ; SNG ANS 787 ; SNG Cop. 356-8 ; Sear GC 1468 .
