Byzantine or Crusader's coin?Help for ID-New issue??

I received on my IPhone[i am in travel] photo of this coin and i wonder if it;s Byzantine or Crusader's coin?Help for ID is highly appreciated[duke of Gabras??]
New issue?? ??? ???

It looks like an anonymous Byzantine follis with gibberish on the reverse.  An imitation??

I have no idea what this is, or even (if imitative) whether it is pretending to be Byzantine or Crusader. The symbols on the reverse are meaningless. It's certainly not imitating an anonymous follis, because there is a ruler's portrait on the obverse, not Christ. The reverse vaguely reminds me of the 14th century Politikon coinage, but there isn't really a Politikon issue that looks anything like your coin. Size and weight might help narrow the search.

Finally i have full data of this coin AE 23mm-3,6g
it looks very close to Alexius I [Sear -Rev.of 1929}??

I'm quite confused. SBCV 1929 has a bust of Christ on the obverse and even the reverse of Sear 1929 doesn't look like your coin (the emperor's robes are different).  What was wrong with the Edessa suggestion that Vlad made, which I thought seemed promising?
