Indian? Persian? Islamic?

Hello,
This is a small silver or billon coin about 15.5mm in diameter. I've have done some searching and am having a hard time with just the basic country or area and time frame.
Any help with which direction to go would be appreciated.

It is a jital from Afghanistan or northwestern Indian.  I have Tye's book on them but it is not available right now since I am on vacation.

A little direction was all that I needed and most helpful.
With some searching, I found it to be a Delhi Sultanate Alauddin Muhammad Shah Khilji 1296-1316 A.D. Billon 2 Gani.
