Please post both sides of the coin even if thereĀ“s not much to see, it helps with the identification process.

I get the need for a reference. This site is an amazing source of information, coins for sale, and many lifetimes of experience from commenters that enjoy helping out.

However, we also enjoy getting people to the point where, given a bit of info, they're able to make the leap to a reference.

The emperor is Valentinian
The reverse is GLORIA RO-MANORVM
There doesn't appear to be anything in the reverse fields
Due to the scans... I can't read the mint mark but in hand you should be able to narrow down what it may be

Given this information, a reference should be a matter of some deductive reasoning and a few minutes work. I'm willing to help but meet us half-way, put in a little work!

Josh

These spreadsheets and FORVM should be the place to start!

Still stuck here

Mint mark (maybe) is MTS but can not find anything like these in the links you gave.......closest would be her Heraclea RIC IX or am I off the mark?
