Hi folks,

As some of you may have noticed, I haven't done any significant work on my website since 10/15/19. That was over 3 months ago.

Things have been rather hectic around here lately. For the past few months, my mother and I have had to deal with numerous things going wrong. This caused me to get backed up on things. It took me all this time just to get caught up on everything.

Assuming that nothing goes catastrophically wrong in the next few days, I should be able to resume working on my website within then next 2-3 days or so.

During the past few months, I have received numerous coins. I was so busy that I didn't have time to process them or write up my tags. I have a whole pile of coin packages that need to be processed. I will be posting them here soon.

Hi folks,

Today, I expanded my Greek Italy, Campania, Cales pages from 2 pages to 3 pages. It took me 2 hours. I did this to accommodate future growth. It was getting a little too crowded in there, and I have more Cales coins on the way.

I also re-numbered all (approximately 65) of my Cales photos because the old numbers were all out of sequence. They were a mess. For this reason, depending on which browser you use, if you want to look at my Cales pages, I think it would be a good idea if you re-load the pages and/or clear your cache first before looking at my coins. Otherwise, the photos may not display properly.

Yesterday, I added 3 MFB coins to my website. I have many more MFB coins (approximately 10-15 more) to add to my website in the coming days.

Hi folks,

Here we go again! :(

After so many things going wrong the past few months, about 2 weeks ago or so, I was finally able to resume working on my website. And I did so for about a week.

Then, as you may have noticed, about a week ago, I was forced to stop again. The wheels keep falling off. This time, it was because of health reasons.

Believe it or not (I don't even know how it is physically possible), I have had a cold/virus (or multiple colds/viruses), continuously since 12/27/19. That was over 6 weeks ago. Of course, that is on top of my Lyme Disease, which I have had since 1990. Up until one week ago, I was pushing through my illness to get my new arrivals posted in my website, but at half my normal speed. You may have noticed that my "posting rate" was about half its normal speed. I was posting 3 coins every other day instead of 3 coins every day (my normal posting rate). It was because I didn't feel good.

About one week ago, I finally started feeling a little better. Then, suddenly, on Thursday of last week (8 days ago), I developed a serious eye infection. It came out of nowhere, and it was totally unexpected. I had to go to my medical center's Urgent Care. It spread to both eyes. I couldn't see right for a few days. I was really worried that I was going to lose my eyesight. The Urgent Care doctor told me that it was probably viral, but she gave me antibiotic eye drops just in case it was bacterial. I used the eye drops for several days, and my eyes have now returned to about 90% normal. That's the good news.

The bad news is that, the day after my Urgent Care visit, I developed the flu. That was Friday of last week (7 days ago). I have been sick as hell for the past week. I can barely get out of bed. I haven't been able to do anything. I have no energy. I am not even eating right (no solid food). If I am out of bed for a half hour, I am so tired and so drained that I have to go back to bed again. It took me 8 days just to have enough energy to type this post. Today is the first day that I feel like the symptoms are starting to lessen. Hopefully, tomorrow, I can go back to eating solid food again.

Dear Meepzorp:
I add my wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Lyme disease is another, long term matter.
Hopefully, a cure may be developed for it.
Hang-in there!!!!

Hi folks,

Thank you for the messages. :)

For the first time in over a week, I was finally able to eat solid food today. It was a great feeling. Of course, I ate a small fraction of what I normally eat.

Hi folks,

Today, I added one coin to each of my following website pages:

Medieval Italy, Naples, Part 2 (third coin):

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/meepzorp/mi_naples_pt02.htm

Roman Republic, Part 35 (first coin):

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/meepzorp/rr_pt35.htm

These are new arrivals. I received them within the past 3-4 months.

I still have the flu. I am doing a little at a time. Obviously, my current processing and posting speed is a fraction of my normal speed.

Hi folks,

Today, I re-organized 2 of my Greek Italy, Campania, Neapolis, Bronze pages: Part 2A and Part 3.

Those 2 pages were a mess. I had 2 coins in my Part 2A page and 8 coins in my Part 3 page (and more to be added soon). I re-arranged the coins in those 2 pages and distributed them more evenly. Also, my photo numbers were all out of sequence. I "cleaned them up".

A few months ago, I had created my Part 2A page. The first coin in that page originally came from my Part 2 page. Now, regarding what is above the MFB, all of my "symbol" coins are together, and all of my "Nike" coins are together. They are more organized.

I think I am finally getting over the flu. I have been sick (colds/viruses/flu) continuously and relentlessly since December 27th of last year. I have coins (new arrivals) sitting here for 3-4 months now. Hopefully, very soon, I can resume processing and posting my new arrivals in my website. I still have about 10 more coins to add, including a few more Campania AE MFB coins.

Hi folks,

i forgot to mention in my previous post that the Campania, Cales coin that I posted yesterday is a double die match to both the SNG ANS plate coin and the MSP (Molinari) plate coin.

In fact, the distinctive die break is visible on Apollo's nose.

Hi folks,

Today, I split my Roman Provincial, Bithynia, Nicea page into 2 pages. It was getting too crowded in there.

I also edited my previous post in this thread so that the second link wouldn't be a dead link. I deleted that page from Joe's server. It no longer exists.

Hi folks,

Today, I added one coin to each of my following website pages:

Roman Republic, Part 5 (last coin):

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/meepzorp/rr_pt05.htm

Roman Republic, Part 44:

https://www.forumancientcoins.com/meepzorp/rr_pt44.htm

I just created that page today. My website now has 545 pages! :o

These are new arrivals. I received them within the past 3-4 months.

I also corrected a typo in my Roman Republic, Part 43 page.

I am finally done posting my "new arrivals" (coins I received within the past 3-4 months). I guess that tomorrow I can finally get back to working on my website again. Because of everything that has been going wrong lately, I haven't swapped out my sub-par (blurry) photos since circa October 15th of last year. That was 4 1/2 months ago. If I remember correctly, the last section I did was Roman Provincial. Proceeding in order, I assume that I will be starting my Roman Republic coins tomorrow.

Hi folks,

Today, I swapped out 3 sub-par Roman Republic photos: in my Part 2, Part 5, and Part 17 pages.

Generally speaking, my Roman Republic coin photos are already okay. The reason is that I posted them later rather than sooner. By that time, my photography skills had improved. By contrast, the photos in the sections that I posted early (like Greek Italy, for example) were a mess. My photography skills were lacking early in my project. As a result, I had to swap out many of those coin photos.

But 95-99% of my Roman Republic coin photos are okay. Today, I made it about 40% of the way through my Roman Republic coins, and I had to swap out only 3 photos. At this rate, I should be able to go through all of my Roman Republic coins in just a few days.

Hi folks,

Today, I swapped out 3 sub-par Roman Republic photos: in my Part 23, Part 33, and Part 38 pages.

I am now done swapping out my sub-par Roman Republic photos. I blew through them in 2 days.

Proceeding in order, I guess I will do my Roman Imperial coins next.

Hi folks,

Today, I swapped out one sub-par Roman Republic photo, in my Part 38 page.

I thought I was done swapping out my sub-par Roman Republic photos. But what happened was that I had recently (within the past few days) swapped out the reverse photo of my Roman Republic sphinx coin, which is the second coin in my Part 38 page. It was a dramatic improvement compared to what I had posted previously. It was so good that it made my obverse photo look sub-par. So today, I decided to swap out the obverse photo of that coin.

Now, I really am done swapping out my sub-par Roman Republic photos. :)
