Not the prettiest coin, but I like the portrait style. https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-122914

Compare the style with this 'Syrian' tetradrachm: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-117097 It looks like the same engraver worked on both dies.

I sometimes prefer coins with some wear to be honest. They are cheaper and have experienced a long 'life' in the ancient world, giving the pieces character.

That mee too. I tend to prefer some wear as it shows it changed hands. Perfect coins are nice but they're expensive and sometimes I find them boring. Similar to a U.S. coin. Circulated coins develop looks/characters unique to them.

I think if we're being honest, the greater problem is that really nice coins are expensive, not that they're boring. Less perfect coins are nice as well and we all have to make compromises but saying worn coins are actually better for some reason other than price sounds a lot like sour grapes.  :)
