I believe this is a Venetian Soldino?

had this a while, and tried to ID it with various online resources.
got totally nowhere.

its 13mm by 15mm

Hi There
Definitely a Venetian Soldino (or in the UK they are known as Galley Halfpence- where they circulated valued as 1/2 penny until outlawed). Lion of St Mark with the Doge on the reverse. I think this is possbily issued by the Doge, Michele Steno 1400-1413 AD). I have a couple of examples where I can make out the STENO and these are very similar to this example.

There are probably lots of pages out there devoted to Soldino. The precise identification of the doge is probably down to which letters can be discerned on the side with the doge on. I can't see much on your photo.

I think I have it IDed now as

Antonio Venier 1382-1400AD

* above P in right field  (even though it looks like a D)
