Hi all,

Would this be a mule?

not in RIC or BMC

Obv. like RIC 231
Rev. like RIC 399

Hadrian Denarius Roma 134-38 AD Concordia
Reference.
RIC --;

Obv. HADRIANVS AVG COS III PP.
Laureate head right.

Rev. CONCOR DIA AVG
Concordia, draped, seated left, holding patera in extended right hand and vertical sceptre in left; cornucopiae under seat.

Yes, apparently obverse of Hadrian, reverse of Sabina.

Such mules could provide an important chronological link between the coinages of Hadrian on the one hand and Sabina on the other, if we could only find another denarius of Hadrian from the same obverse die but with a normal reverse type of Hadrian, showing which type of Hadrian was contemporaneous with the Concordia seated type of Sabina!
