Hi, this is a bit ropey looking, but hopefully has enough left for someone to ID better than me

I believe its Korean at least...

On the obverse the lower character might an incomplete 平. If this is the case, it is a 常 平 通 寶, "Sang Pyong Tong Bo" of Koreas Yi dynasty

On the top of the reverse clearly 户 Hojo for the Treasury Department

Bottom looks like 生 "saeng", one of the Thousand Classic Characters

Left, a number ?,  八 8 ?

Hi Zaphodd

Sorry, I missed this earlier.

As shanxi says, 'ho' for Hojo, bottom character on reverse is 'saeng', 'to produce' according to Mandel, reference is Mandel 13.50.8, cast in 1852.

Best wishes

Alan
