Antioch AE--Claudius? Nero?
« on: June 19, 2015, 07:29:38 pm »
AE 24.5 mm; 13.62 g

I'm never any good at these Antioch/SC within wreath bronzes.  This portrait  has pudgy nose, lips, chin--like Nero, Claludius, Domitian--but not a resemblance strong enough for my ignorant eyes.  Thanks much for any help.

The portrait first of all reminds me to my Claudius bronzes from Antioch - and i think i can read three letters CLA of this legend before the chin: [IMP T] CLA[VD CAE AV GER] (or similar).

Thanks Arminius.  I'm leaning that way too.
