This coin was consigned by a knowledgeable
Byzantine coin collector, identified as a possibly unique
Leontius half follis from
Syracuse. My perusing through the books and internet, seems to confirm
his attribution. I know, however, from many years of attributing coins that more often than not unique really means attributed wrong and it is something else not unique.

Is it really a unique
Leontius half follis from
Syracuse? Or published someplace? Or an entirely different emperor? Or? Thanks!
