Provincial coin Flavian dinasty?
« on: February 06, 2015, 05:22:37 am »
Hi! This is a new coin to identify!

I didn't recognize the emperor but maybe could be one of the Flavian dinasty. I can read AVTOKP KAI [...] ACIANOC CEBACTOC.
On the reverse only the year in a whreat: ETOYC IB.

4,24g x 18mm

Thanks

I am no expert but hink the portrait looks like Vespasian.

I can not see the inscription on coin but from what you have written it would read:
AYTOKPATOP   =    Imperator
KAIEAPOC       =    Caesar
CEBACTOC      =    Augustus

On reverse ETOYC    =     Year
I   =    10   and   B    =   2

I hope this helps a little.
