Title: Elagabalus Sear II 7619
Post by: David M3 on July 03, 2011, 12:04:03 pm
Just a general guestion was the coinage of the time so devalued that they silver plated it or was it just a way of adding funds to the coffers. What appears to be antoniniaus with just some of the plateing left. But I have a full silver antoniniaus so could it be a mint making a mint on the minting? Or has the silver come from another coin. Thanks for the help.
