Yes the Marcus Aurelius is particularly beautiful, as is the Antoninus Pius and the Philip II. But the one I’d trade one of my motorcycles for (with the possible exception of the Ducati) is the Gallienus!

Gosh kc don’t tempt me! The Harley has been giving me a lot of trouble lately! (My bikes are Suzuki GSXR 600, Harley Davidson XLH 1200 and Ducati 800 Super Sport)
I'm with Jay, and would love to see a gallery of the reverses.

Beautiful set of reverses you have there without doubt kc. The temple of Janus with the doors closed is a reverse I have been trying to obtain a good example of for years (at a price I could afford). Yours has the doors very nicely detailed, giving a clear impression of what these famous temple doors must have looked like in Nero’s time.
The Gallienus reverse is surprisingly good, at a time when it must be admitted the reverse was often not given the same attention as the imperial portrait. (All the more reason to be jealous!) Then there are the two galley reverses, always desirable. But my favorite is the Ops reverse of Antoninus Pius, so well designed, graceful and pleasing to the eye. Thanks so much for sharing.

Steve, a pleasure to share my coins with you and all fans of Roman coins. I have to thank!
Now I have added a few coins and put all in the correct order.
Based on the diameter of the coins you can immediately see when the "Big Roman crisis" was (beginning with Philippus Arabs).

A sestertius of Gallienus from "VIMINACIUM", I asked myself? That would be a "coin of the year" for a specialist collector of either Gallienus or of sestertii, since Göbl knew no sestertii at all for Valerian or Gallienus from this series, and only a single specimen of one type for Salonina!
From kc's gallery I see however that the coin is actually an As. That's a bit of a relief, though it's still a very rare coin, apparently the second known specimen, since Göbl only lists one.

I must agree...that Gallienus portrait is nothing short of spectacular! Well, I wouldn't trade a motorcycle for it since I don't own one, but I do have a Brazilian national jersey signed by the World Cup winning team of 2002! ;D

That is a wonderful image to behold kc. The range of subtitle colours and patinas against the black background reminds me of a Roman mosaic.

Edit; Here's an idea, find as many bronze coins of the same type as you can and photograph them in this manner. With all different colors of patina of course! Just a graphic way to show the unending variety in collecting ancient coins :)
