Title: A Caesarea ?
Post by: Arminius on January 13, 2008, 07:35:11 am
The reverse inscription might indicate a "Caesarea". The portrait looks like a younger Septimius Severus:

Æ 22 (20-22 mm / 5,77 g),
Obv.: ...AΔP?... , radiate head right.
Rev.: CAICAPEW...WC / Γ - Φ (across fields) , Tyche seated left, holding branch.

So far no results in books and on the web.

Thanks

If not exactly it, then a pretty good starting point.
