Title: AE17 Greek with tripod reverse
Post by: Tim M on January 13, 2021, 04:50:58 pm
Below is a bronze coin (17.6 mm & 2.76 g) with a face right (Apollo?) on the obverse and a tripod lebes on the reverse. I would very much appreciate any ID help as I wade sloooowly into Greek coins. Thanks!

Cheers,
Tim

Hi,

Seems to be from Medeon/Aetolia (BCD Akarnanien und Aetolien,340).

Regards,

That is extremely helpful. It does seem to be a match, and you've introduced me to a cool resource in the BCD auctions. Thank you, Simone!

Cheers,
Tim
