Is anyone planning on vising the Nomismata in Munich in early March ? I'll be in Munich from the Friday until Sunday, at the Nomismata, the Coin Collection library, doing some shopping etc.

I will certainly be there also :)

I very much wish I could be there, it has been too long between
visits to Munich (or anywhere on that side of the planet!).
However, I will be in London for a few days in early April, if there
is any chance you are going to be there.

The Numismata Munich 2020 has been cancelled. There is a notice on their website (but still shows the "We cordially invite you... on 7th and 8th March 2020.." notice).
They took their time on taking this decision, as it was only announced late yesterday Friday and most visitors and sellers have been in Munich since Thursday evening.
Fortunately I had decided on Tuesday not to go and the SBB (Swiss Railways) refunded the full price of my rail tickets without a question.

That's too bad. A lot of these events seem to be making decisions at the last minute.

I received an email today from a friend in Munich: (following is translated from German)
"The Numismata was a total disaster because the local authorities, after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, wanted the organizer (Modes) to take so many precautions that he finally gave up. Yet at the same time (Saturday) there was a big football match in Munich. So on Saturday, all the visitors were faced with closed doors.."
