Hello Everyone.
Here is the last arrival from my 2019 purchases, not the least though, being a beautiful piece belonging to the main all time collection of Alexandrian coins.
Perhaps not everyone knows that Domitian's tetradrachms are much rarer and more sought-after than those of emperors who had a much shorter reign, such as his brother Titus, for example.
And in fact directing this masterpiece to his new home has cost me a hard fight with other bidders.
But now, for my joy, it's here and I'm particularly happy to share it.

Stunning obverse and reverse, congrats! I’m happy it’s found a good home!

Thanks Justin,
I'm confident it will feel comfortable with its sister coins and that it can stay in this house for many many years.

A great acquisition Alberto. The portrait's on the coins from the mint in Alexandria are usually very distinctive in style, quite different from the mint in Rome. Yet to me the very realistic portrait looks much closer to what might be expected from the mint in Rome. Another excellent reason to add this hard to find coin to a collection!
Best regards,
Steve
