Thanks Jimi, yes i think it the one, i just was wondering if Elagabalus or Severus Alexander, have you ever seen this countermark on Caesarea coins before?
-
I have not seen this on coins of Caesarea, but a different style countermark A is found on coins of Elagabalus from Neapolis. If the reverse inscription reads METROPOLIS then I think it would have to be Severus, but I can not be certain from the photograph.

;D

I have similar coin with the same countermark. On my coin it looks more like V rather than A, but I think that it is the same one.
