Title: Rare Bracteate of Quedlinburg
Post by: orfew on January 13, 2019, 01:54:43 pm
Just received this bracteate of Gertrud Von Amfurt of the Quedlinburg abbey. It is also possible that this coin depicts Gertrud's successor Bertradis II.  The abbey is interesting because the coins were minted under female authority. I have wanted one of these for a few years and so when it appeared I had to have it.
