Stay safe Joe and family!
I wish you, yours, and your east coast area safe passage for the coming storm!
( And your personal collection, and of course your consignment collection also...)
I hope you miss the worst!!!

Yes keep yourselves safe.

We have evacuated. The coins are in a 3 ton safe that will not move even if the entire building around it blows away. The library, book inventory and antiquities are at some risk, but it isn't looking quite as bad for Morehead with the latest updates.

Stay safe Joe and family.

Be safe, Joe & Family! The coins have managed to survive 2000+ years. By comparison, even Old Salts are rookies!
-
Keep well. There are a lot of people rooting for you.
Best

Having just been allowed to return home after 10 days mandatory evacuation (wild fire in WA) I know how you feel! My sympathy and heartfelt
best wishes to you and your family!

I hope everyone and their families are safe.

Morehead City NC is taking the brunt of Florence right now. I hope everyone stays safe, and if evacuated, will return to a Forum Ancient Coins as solid as a Roman Temple built to last thousands of years.

Fortunately it's a category 1. Bad enough, but it could have been so much worse.

Neighbors report my house is looks OK. Power is still out and may be for quite some time. A lot of trees and power lines are down in the area.

With luck it's on high enough ground that even the long period of heavy rainfall won't flood it.
Fingers crossed...

Even though it's a Cat 1 hurricane the danger is the rain. I keep seeing Moorehead city and the rainfall warnings on the radar. Hope everyone stays safe.

I hope everyone stays safe , and faster than soon all done and over with it.
My best wishes of safety to Joe, Family and everyone there in need.

Been watching this on the news. The flooding looks pretty bad. Glad to hear that your house appears to be safe.

My thoughts are with you Joe.
Hoping your place is on high ground and that you and the family are safe and dry in your evacuation site.

Hi Joe;
Stay Safe you & all your family

Glad you and your family are safe Joe! I've been watching the news and have seen some amazing (and unbelievably) horrible footage of the damage and I just can't imagine.....
Best,

Just to let everyone know, Joe and Rose have managed to get away on their trip. They landed in Spain yesterday.
