Dear Board
I started uploading my collection to the Member's Gallery about a month ago. I'm slowly rephotographing and reattributing coins when I have the time and I will periodically update this thread with any interesting new additions to the gallery.
https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/index.php?cat=40435 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/index.php?cat=40435)
So far I have uploaded my Romans from Augustus to Commodus, lumping in imperial issues with provincials, along with a smattering of recent acquisitions:
Julio-Claudian Dynasty (plus Vitellus) https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6760 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6760)
Flavian Dynasty https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6765 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6765)
The Adoptive Emperors https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6768 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6768)
Severan Dynasty https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6763 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6763)
The Soldier Emperors https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6761 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6761)
The Successionist Empires https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6759 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6759)
The Tetrarchy https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6775 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=6775)
I like all these coins but to pick out a few favorites:
It's hard for me to walk past my first two ancient coins - denarii of Lucus Verus (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-148381 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-148381)) and Marcus Aurelius (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-148655 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-148655)). They are not particularly rare types or in remarkable condition, but they are where it all started!
In my opinion, my most attractive (Roman) coin is this Trajan denarius with Victory on the reverse which has good detail and is nicely toned. My photography skills still aren't quite up to scratch so like most of my gallery it's even better in hand! https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-148293 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-148293)
I have an interest in the crisis of the third century, so this coin of Postumus issued under Aureolus is a favorite - not only is it a handsome coin, the story of Aureolus is a fascinating one, he was undoubtedly a pivotal character at a pivotal point in time for the Roman Empire. Although the coin is not one of the more common (but arguably more historically interesting) Fides Eqvit types, it's an exciting small piece of history https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-147799 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-147799)
My most viewed coin so far (by a long shot) is this Maximus II Daia. I'm a little confused by this! It's a nice example and doesn't seem to be an especially common type judging by the limited examples I can find online, but that aside, I'm not sure why it's garnered so much attention (nb the vendor had it as RIC 86 however I think it is RIC 100 (and have attributed it as such) based on the examples pictured on OCRE) https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-148442 (https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-148442).
I will (slowly) keep them coming!

It's been a while since I updated this post... but I've not been completely inactive and have been slooooowly adding to my gallery with a dozen of my third-century coins from Maximinus Thrax to Claudius II Gothicus added since my last update. I've not had time to spend on coins lately or even lurk around the forums (and I have missed you all!), but I've had an opportunity the last few days to jump back in. This batch is all part of the existing collection, mostly 3rd C CE Antoninianus, with some later Roman and eastern coins thrown in for some variety. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the updates coming!

I have made a small start on my Greek and other Eastern coins today
(https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/albums/userpics/40435/AAEVb_small.png)
Aeolis, Aigai.
4th-3rd centuries BC.
9mm., 0.99g.
Laureate head of Apollo right
Head of goat right

NB, aside from some Indo-Greek sources I don't have anything by way of Greek reference material in hard copy and I am still learning how to use a lot of the online material available for Greek coins. As such if anyone wants to weigh in with any help further attributing any of these feel free! It would be appreciated.

Thanks for sharing your coins.
-
Thanks Joe (and thanks for providing the site to share them on!)
And thanks Pekka as well. I'd definitely crop photos if I was uploading for identification or help with a suspected fake etc. But for the purposes of my gallery I am of a slightly different mind - I shoot most coin photos from the same height/zoom and then process them using the same template without cropping the template or adjusting the coin size up (I will scale coins that are larger than the template down of course) . That means with most coins in my gallery looking at the images gives an immediate and reasonably accurate impression of the relative size of each coin which I personally feel is a plus for an online gallery which (unsurprisingly) otherwise lacks a lot of the amenity of handling the coins in person. Eg. with these tiny coins the size is (to my way of thinking at least) part of the charm of the coin that I want to capture.
I understand if you disagree with the approach as close cropping has it's advantages too, (in which case best not to look at this recent upload - Mysia, Kyzikos AR Hemiobol - my smallest coin ;) https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-155466)
Other recent uploads:

Nice coins. I especially like Gallienus’ zoo series. I agree with you about him being underrated. With everything that was going on in the empire at the time, in my opinion he made a very valiant effort.

I'd love to know more about the provenance of this one - I brought it from a local seller. Given the age of the farthing and as New Zealand troops served in Egypt in WW1 my personal theory is it was a souvenir from a WW1 veteran, but I just don't know. The vendor didn't have any information.
