The following book, published by the numismatic curator of the State History Museum of Yerevan, discusses a hoard of ancient coins discovered near the village of Sirnakounk in Armenia in 1945. The hoard of 225 pieces contained predominantly Roman coins, with a mix of Armenian, Anatolian and other types of coins in lesser numbers.

The book is divided into two parts. The first part of the book discusses general questions relating to the hoard, including contemporary history and coins. The second part catalogues the hoard in detail.

An important hoard and well written book, it discusses a seldom covered chapter of Armenian Numismatics.

Armenian, with brief summary in English and Russian. 351 pages, 25 plates, 1 map.

Another important work, this book discusses the coins issued as well as circulating in Armenia from the V century B.C. to the XIV century A.D. The book begins by discussing the earliest coins found on the territory of Armenia and goes through the satrapies, and the Artaxiad period in detail. Discusses hoard finds and relationship of circulating coins. A discussion of Sassanian and Byzantine coins of Armenia is included. Much detail is focused on the Islamic period. A discussion of the mints, mint-names and periods of issue of various dynasties are included.

An important book for understanding the circulation of coins and trade and Armenia in the period.
