Fundania gens plebia, os which only two types of coins are known.



1. Bearded and laureated head of Jupiter. Reverse: C FVNDA, Victory holding a palm branch and crowning a trophy, supported on the shoulders of a kneeling captive; quinarius.



2. Galeated head of Rome. Reverse:  C FVNDAN on the exergue. Above is Q (interpreted questor). A triumphal figure with a sceptre or small wand, stands ina slow quadriga, guided by a naked child who is seated on one of the horses and carries a laurel branch.

The denarius of this family having been found amongst the deposit (nel ripostiglio) of Fiesole, it positively results the coin struck before 87 BC.
