The Sermarini Family
Hi. I'm Joe Sermarini, the owner of
FORVM ANCIENT COINS, in the photo is my wife, Rose, and our daughters, Allison,
Amanda, and Amber (in order from oldest to youngest). The photo above is
getting old but I am not getting better looking so I'm not in a hurry to update
it.
I retired as a Commander
in the U.S. Navy Supply Corps on 1 November 2007. My
last assignment was Commander,
Defense Distribution Depot Cherry Point, North Carolina, which explains our
location.
FORVM ANCIENT COINS
started as my
hobby. As an ancient coin collector, I wanted more coins than I could
afford. While still on active duty, I thought that by selling a few coins, I could make a
little money to buy
more coins. But, I discovered that my pleasure comes more from attributing and
researching coins than from permanently owning them. Today my collection
and my inventory are the same, so my collection changes constantly.
Rose is an angel and a fantastic cook. We met and married in Singapore.
Allison is now
14 and in eighth grade. Amanda is
nine and in third grade. Amber is seven and in second grade.
