Identifying, Authenticating and Appraising Your Ancient Coins

We charge $25 for identification services; however, what we really recommend is posting the digital pictures on our discussion board. That is free and works almost every time. The discussion board is here:  http://www.forumancientcoins.com/board/index.php Please do not email descriptions or pictures of your coins to us and ask us to identify, authenticate or appraise them without paying for our Attribution and Appraisal Service.

FREE ATTRIBUTION HELP

DO IT YOURSELF - IDENTIFYING YOUR COINS IS FUN!

FORVM's Roman Coin Attribution Tool Kit (Romancoin.info) - Attributing ancient coins is fun (at least we think so).  We recommend you try to identify your coin yourself.  Many online tools to help you identify your coin.

FREE HELP FROM OUR DISCUSSION BOARD MEMBERS

FORVM's Discussion Board - Post your coin to our ancient coin discussion board.  If identifying your coin does not require significant research, as time permits we will identify your ancient coin free.  Other discussion board members will very likely help identify your coin before we get the chance.  Many discussion board members enjoy attributing coins submitted to the board.  You must register to post on the discussion board.

PAID ATTRIBUTION AND APPRAISAL SERVICE

FORVM's Paid Attribution and Appraisal Service - For a fee, we will identify and appraise your ancient coin from a photograph submitted by email.  To determine if your coin is ancient consider the following:  Ancient coins are not in English, Spanish or French or other modern languages.  Ancient coins do not have dates (at least not Arabic numeral dates like today's coins).  Ancient coins are very rarely perfectly round.  They are handmade, not machine made, and they usually look handmade.
